The AFL's first Anzac Day match between Collingwood and Essendon was played on Tuesday, 25 April 1995 at the MCG with a crowd of 94,825. The first-ever iconic clash was ended in a draw. They have drawn on the next Anzac Day match in 2024 after 29 years.
